More than 10 years after a 19-year-old woman was kidnapped and raped, a suspect has been indicted.
Julius Hunter, 42, was indicted last month by a DeKalb County Grand Jury on charges of rape, aggravated sodomy and kidnapping for a 2016 assault.
Hunter was on probation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a 2021 sexual battery case. Following the indictment, he was arrested there and has now been extradited to DeKalb County.

Investigators say that in July 2016, a young woman responded to a Craigslist ad offering her $300 and a rideshare for an overnight babysitting job.
When she arrived at the Clarkston address, there were no children there, only two men. Prosecutors say she tried to leave, but was held captive, assaulted and raped for several hours by one of the men, later identified as Hunter.
When she left the next day, she got into a taxi and asked the driver to call 911. Police took her to the hospital for a sexual assault exam.

The suspect's DNA was not in the system, but matched the unidentified DNA connected to assaults in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties in 2016 and 2017.
After his 2021 conviction, investigators were able to match the unidentified DNA to Hunter.
Investigators say the other cases follow a similar pattern of Hunter using Craigslist to offer women jobs like babysitting, modeling, dancing and massages.
They believe he may have more victims.
