Hilton has signed agreements to open two lifestyle properties in Thailand, along with one in the Maldives, as part of its plans to strengthen presence in Southeast Asia.

The hospitality company will open a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Phuket, and two Tapestry Collection by Hilton properties in Chiang Mai and the Maldives.

In Phuket, Andamanda Voyage, Curio Collection by Hilton, is planned within the Andamanda Waterpark complex in Kathu District.

The 246-key resort is expected to open at the end of this year.

In northern Thailand's Chiang Mai, Hilton will introduce the city's first Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

The 65-room hotel will be located near cultural landmarks, historic temples, weekend walking streets and local markets.

The new hotels in Thailand will become part of a growing lifestyle portfolio that already features the recently opened Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton.

They will also sit alongside Canopy Bangkok Sukhumvit and Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, both scheduled to open this year.

Alongside, Hilton is also set to introduce the Tapestry Collection by Hilton brand to the Maldives.

The Coco de Mer Maldives, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is scheduled to open in June 2027.

The 75-key property will include dining concepts, a wellness centre and a variety of recreational options such as a dedicated sea sports centre and pickleball courts.

Hilton Southeast Asia development vice-president Maria Ariizumi said: "We continue to see strong interest from owners in Southeast Asia for lifestyle brands, supported by solid market fundamentals and evolving traveler demand.

"These signings allow us to broaden our presence in high-demand destinations, where we see clear opportunities to scale our award-winning brands alongside trusted local partners and unlock new opportunities in both resort and cultural destinations."

Last month, Hilton debuted its Curio Collection in India with the opening of Slohh by Roach in Bengaluru.

"Hilton to open new hotels in Thailand and Maldives" was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
