Ford previewed a small crossover priced around $25,000 for dealers and teased a four-door Mustang as the automaker sketches out a lineup that stretches from affordable utilities to expanded performance offerings.
According to Automotive News, the $25,000 model will be a hybrid. The pricing places it below much of Ford's current crossover lineup and signals an effort to compete at the entry level, where affordability has become a central concern for buyers navigating higher interest rates and elevated transaction prices across the industry.
Alongside the crossover, Ford told dealers that a four-door Mustang will start under $40,000. The company has not detailed powertrains, timing, or trim structures for the model. The under-$40,000 starting price positions the four-door Mustang as an accessible entry into the nameplate rather than a premium performance flagship, but it's unlikely a V8 will be available for that price.
The previews arrive as Ford continues to reshape its product strategy. The automaker recently confirmed that its $30,000 electric pickup will be called the Fathom, as part of a broader push to bring lower-cost electric and electrified vehicles to market. Ford CEO Jim Farley unveiled the company's new EV platform at an August 2025 press briefing in Louisville, Kentucky.
