A Trenton man was arrested Thursday in connection with a Trenton shooting earlier this month that left one man dead and another injured, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Isiah Greene, 32, has been charged with murder and weapons offenses in the Aug. 2 homicide.

The shooting occurred during an altercation in front of NJ Weedman's Joint, a smoke shop and restaurant that has been the site of multiple shootings this year.

Police responded around 3:37 a.m. to the 300 block of East State Street for reports of shots fired. Officers found Jemear Miller, 32, of Ewing, suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck, in front of 319 East State St.

Miller was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

A second man who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound drove himself to the hospital, officials said.

Greene was arrested by the New Jersey State Police following a motor vehicle stop in Bordentown.

The prosecutor's office filed a motion to keep Greene jailed pending trial, officials said.

Attorney information for Greene was not immediately available.

Miller's death marks the second homicide and fourth shooting since last spring in the area around the Joint, which sits directly across from City Hall. In May, three patrons were injured when a man fired shots from outside.

"First, it's idiotic to kill somebody, and it's idiotic to kill somebody on camera," marijuana activist Ed Forchion, who runs the Joint, told NJ.com after the August shooting.

He posted on Facebook that he had handed over camera footage to detectives after he was served with a subpoena.

The Joint's restaurant and lounge will shut down on Aug. 30, though the dispensary will stay open, the business said on Facebook.
