Two people died Aug. 22 in an early morning two-vehicle collision on Interstate 85, responders confirmed.
Montgomery police and fire rescue responded to the scene at 2:15 a.m. on I-85 South, between the Mitylene and Taylor Road exits. One of the vehicles was on fire, said MPD's Lt. Tina McGriff.
Both drivers, an adult male and an adult female, were pronounced dead at the scene. One adult female passenger had injuries that were serious but not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital for treatment, McGriff said.
The names of the drivers and passenger have not been released, nor have the circumstances of the collision. McGriff said the investigation is ongoing.
