Two Willis High School students were taken into custody on consecutive days this week, one after a loaded gun was found in her backpack and another after he allegedly threatened to shoot classmates.
The first student, a 14-year-old girl, was taken into custody Wednesday after an administrator found a loaded gun in her backpack while conducting bathroom checks.

The student was skipping class but had not made threats against the school or classmates, according to a Facebook post by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Willis ISD said in a notice to parents that the student reportedly told officials she did not know the gun was in her backpack.
On campus officers took the student into custody and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office major crimes detectives are investigating the incident.
The next day, a 15-year-old boy at the same campus was charged with making a terroristic threat after allegedly making a statement about "shooting other students in the classroom." An officer on campus took him into custody. ABC13 reported the student told officials he was joking.
The incidents happened on consecutive days, though officials have not said whether they were connected. The district said it treats threats seriously regardless of whether a student says the comment was intended as a joke.
The sheriff's office encouraged anyone who sees online threats to report them to law enforcement or school administrators.
Both students were taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.
Willis ISD did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
