Police searching for man involved in I-5 hit-and-run who fled scene on foot

A man involved in a southbound Interstate 5 car collision fled the scene Saturday, sparking a police search.

Two cars collided on southbound I-5 near south 84th Street at 1:23 p.m., according to the Washington Department of Transportation traffic map.

A man fled the scene on foot, running across northbound I-5 lanes toward Hosmer, Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts told The News Tribune.

Units have been unable to locate the man so far, but are interviewing witnesses at the scene, Watts said.

One person sustained minor injuries in the crash, Watts said.
