A 26-year-old woman whose name has not been released was found deceased at a home in the 1500 block of Wooster Road West. The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said first responders who arrived at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 4 found her with multiple stab wounds.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:17 a.m. Sept. 5, the medical examiner's office said.

Huerta-Garcia had been living and working in the United States and was living at the Wooster Road West home with the victim, Barberton police said.

Barberton police partnered with law enforcement agencies from across the country, and with the use of automated license plate reader technology, Huerta-Garcia was located on a highway in Dateland, Arizona, the release said.

Eberthart credited several local, state and federal agencies in making the apprehension, including ones in Ohio, Arizona and North Carolina.

The "very best of law enforcement" was working together, Eberthart said in the news release.

He credited the following area and state officials: the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, the dispatchers at Southwest Summit Communications, U.S. Marshal Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Taskforce, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Barberton police detectives.

Along with many state and county agencies in Arizona, the following federal agencies were involved, Barberton police said: FBI, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
