GOOGL's 11th straight EPS beat featured 82% Cloud growth and a $460 billion backlog, yet the stock trades at a forward P/E of just 17.

GOOGL trades at a trailing P/E of 18 versus MSFT's 28, while 58 of 64 analysts rate it Buy toward a $428 consensus target.

Free cash flow turned negative, long-term debt nearly doubled to $98 billion, and 2026 capex is guided to $175 to $185 billion.

At $343.80, Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) looks mispriced. The stock trades at a forward P/E of 17 while posting 24.2% revenue growth and 82% Google Cloud growth, a mismatch worth acting on.

Alphabet is the parent of Google Search, YouTube, Google Cloud, Android, and Waymo, and it sits at the center of the AI infrastructure buildout. The recent pullback has been sharp. Shares are down 8.96% over the past week and 3.75% over the past month, dragging the multiple back to a level that looks anomalous next to peers.

The tension is simple. Alphabet is spending more, growing faster, and being rewarded with a smaller multiple than Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), which trades at a trailing P/E of 28.

Q2 2026 delivered EPS of $9.11 against a $3.04 consensus, the 11th consecutive EPS beat. Revenue reached $119.80 billion, extending a 12-quarter streak of double-digit growth. Google Cloud accelerated from 34% in Q3 2025 to 82% in Q2 2026, with backlog expanding to over $460 billion.

Gemini is landing commercially. Nearly 90% of the Fortune 100 use Gemini Enterprise, the Gemini App has 950 million monthly active users, and models process 22 billion API tokens per minute. A PEG ratio of 0.96 and analyst target of $428.04 both flag valuation support.

Free cash flow turned negative at -$5.86 billion as capex doubled to $44.92 billion. Long-term debt jumped from $46.5 billion to $98.2 billion, interest expense rose nearly 5x year over year, and the buyback was suspended. Management guided 2026 capex to $175 to $185 billion.

Leadership turnover added noise. Reddit sentiment dropped after news that the Google DeepMind CEO and four other AI leaders stepped down. Insider activity across the past window skews net selling. If Cloud growth decelerates before the AI spend earns its return, the bear case gets a real footing.

The multiple is cheap, but the near-term setup is not clean. Prediction markets show a neutral composite sentiment of 59.14, and there is only a 38.2% probability of a new Gemini Pro release by August 31, limiting the immediate catalyst calendar.

Investors uncomfortable with the capex ramp could reasonably wait for Q3 to see whether Cloud maintains 60%+ growth and whether operating margin holds above 30%.

Shares trade at $343.80 against an analyst consensus target of $428.04, implying meaningful upside. Coverage runs 64 analysts deep, with 13 Strong Buy, 45 Buy, 6 Hold, and no Sell ratings. Targets are one data point, not a promise.

Year to date, GOOGL is up 9.98% against the S&P 500, a mild lag. Over one year, GOOGL is up 71.53%. Trailing P/E sits at 18 versus 28 for Microsoft, despite Alphabet growing revenue faster in the most recent quarter.

At $343.80, Alphabet screens as mispriced. Here is why.

The path to appreciation runs through a re-rating rather than heroic growth. Every quarter Cloud grows above 50% and Search stays in the mid-teens is a quarter the market has to justify why GOOGL trades at a meaningful discount to the Microsoft multiple. Even a partial closing of that gap delivers material upside without needing new products.

The catalysts to watch are Q3 Cloud growth, an incremental Gemini Pro release, and any signal that capex intensity peaks in 2026. The thesis breaks if Cloud growth slips below 50%, Search revenue growth drops into single digits, or capex guidance climbs again without revenue follow-through.

The setup reads as a hyperscaler compounder trading at a value-stock multiple.
